Oily Skin Types

Young skin care must start by understanding young skin typically is oily with excessive sebum production which presents a special problem. The excessive sebum can harden and block the hair pores. The plug is called a comedo.

Plugs start as a white-colored blockage (or whitehead), then air oxidation darkens the sebum to form a "blackhead". Bacteria in the blocked hair pore begins to multiply and produce the irritation that becomes acne. Birth control pills, steroid hormones, and androgenic hormones such as testosterone can cause or aggravate acne. Acne tends to flare up during the menstrual cycle as hormonal fluctuations are experienced prior and during ovulation.

Products for Oily Skin Types

Oil-free formulation of our copper peptides (such as CP Serum and Super CP Serum) are very effective. Or use Super GHK-Copper Serum if you have oily sensitive skin. Use a light amount of Sebum Be Gone on top of the copper peptides and follow up with LacSal Serum in the evening.

If you do not see enough progress, try using a stronger hydroxy acid from one of our resellers. You can apply more hydroxy acid during the day. But reduce the amount if your skin become irritated.
