Exfoliate with Exfol Cream (2% hydroxy acid) or LacSal Cream (10% hydroxy acid)

Apply these exfoliating serums to the scar in the morning. You can apply more hydroxy acid during the day if you have no irritation. But reduce the amount if your skin become irritated.

Apply TriReduction, Super CP Serum, or Super Cop Cream
Apply a thin layer on blemish at night.

Try this system for two months. If you do not see enough progress, try using a stronger hydroxy acid from one of our resellers. Or use a method of manual abrasion (such as a microdermabrasion cloth).

After a week, you may notice a slight flaking of skin around the periphery of the lesion. This is usually followed by a shrinking and thinning of the skin lesion which is significant after one month.

I have been religiously using the Exfol Cream in the A.M. and the TriReduction in the P.M. since I received my order not too many days ago. And I have been rubbing it into my small circular, semi-raised dark colored mole, on the left part of my cheek/lower-jaw line under my earlobe, and the surrounding areas.

I have had very little, if any, irritation.The raised dark colored part, which had a texture to it, has 97% fallen off, and now the mole is like a reddish/pink/brown circle (very very slightly raised now) so it's come off big time! Now I am going to continue to use the creams until the surface is completely flat as can be with 'normal' skin underneath.

I have had this mole all my life, I'm 27 now.. but basically it was annoying to try and keep my facial hair trimmed with that in the way. So when it's flat, I'll finally be able to use a razor again instead of electric hair clippers (I usually wear a stubble beard). Basically I'll be able to shave again all the way and have no concerns for cutting the mole. It's saved me money too, because I was going to go to a surgeon and have him remove it, probably with a laser. I am sensitive to pain, so I didn't want to go that route..

I was interested in adding your P&R Day Cover to my regime for daily sun protection and was wondering about whether or not it has the same strong blue color as your CP Serum and TriReduction Cream. Skin Biology - P&R Day Cover is a much lighter blue color and should cause no problems. The titanium dioxide on the P&R Day Cover also lightens the cream.

The TriReduction has done wonders for my aging, spotted, webbed with fine lines, nasty-looking hands and in reducing some flat warts elsewhere on my body - and the serum with an AHA/Hydroquinone cream has my face looking fresher, clearer, and more even in tone. Two brown, dryish spots on my forehead that I've had for years that are at least 1/4" in diameter are actually fading, fine lines are less pronounced, and my skin is somehow "thicker" and finer looking in texture. I can live with the deeper crow's feet and laugh lines - I've earned them - but it's nice to have a reduction in the web of crinkles that goes with them! The moisture balance between my slightly oily nose and slightly dry cheeks is much better, too.

I just wanted to let you know that I've been smearing for more than 6 weeks now, and I can definitely tell the stuff is working for me.

The scar has flattened a little, and the back of my head feels a lot more normal now. It no longer itches and ........is becoming more pinkish. It used to be bright white.

After 6 weeks of use, the itching, that I got at first from the CP's, is now almost completely gone. I hope this will accelerate the healing process even more. Because boy oh boy am I looking forward to yet MORE results another 6 weeks from now.

When Skin Biology says that their products heal and renew skin: THEY REALLY MEAN IT. I had to have steroid injections injected to the outside of my nose due to a reaction to surgery. I had huge unsightly lumps and needle marks all over my nose. The scar tissue looked like large warts. I was embarrassed to go anywhere. I consulted other physicians who told me that the only way to remove the extensive damage was through skin grafts and more surgery. I emailed Dr. Pickart after finding this site during a search. He was so confident in his products. I had to give it a try.

Just to let you know the way I used it:

I used glycolic acid on alternate nights with some salicylic...then applied my serum all over. Then a nice layer of the cream over the top in the areas that needed extra help. You could see where I put the cream as I placed it in lines over my scars. OK, it tingled but what the hell ...every morning when I washed my face the scars were less and less, I was so amazed. And if you were to see my skin now you would think I never had a problem ever. In fact you would think I was 10 years younger than I am. I had a facial, and the woman doing it thought I was 24 (in fact in 35) but my skin is firm and totally smooth and clear as anything. I also use the Emu Oil - Wow what amazing stuff...the ingredients you put in it are really good.

All in all you make the best stuff and I've got all my personal training clients using it too. So I will spread the word.

Just wanted to share this little story. I've had an annoying calcium deposit on the side of my nose for 4 years. When a second one appeared on the other side I had already read all your feedback about peeling and peptides (P&P) getting rid of other weird skin things and decided to try it on these two calcium deposits.

I read your new piece wherein you describe how animals scratch and pick and abrade and decided that that was the only way to really ensure the peptides were absorbed into these things. So I peeled with acids (light, alpha or beta) and I put the gold 2x [Super Cop 2X - Extra Strength] on it, a big glob, at night. I waited some time and then added the Emu Oil to aid penetration.

This was a bit irritating to the skin over these things - and it kind of scabbed up after a couple of days, which I've learned is a good thing with the peptides. I read that you're telling people less is more now, but in my case that irritation followed by more peptides which is followed by a scab is the process that gives me the greatest results! Of course I only do that in spots: target ONE bad wrinkle, for example, scratch it, peptide it, wash it, peel it, peptide it, pick it... etc.

Using this target P&P approach with the worst and oldest wrinkle, I worked on it for weeks and weeks, worried I was making it worse by irritating it. Then one day I picked at the scab that had formed over it and -oh my god - the wrinkle had filled in! This thing was older than the hills and a dermatologist had told me it was so deep even laser surgery probably couldn't get to it! No... Dr., but copper peptides can.

I have a few old childhood scars on my body that have responded well to whatever CP product [SRCPs] I use on them. I recently had a deep gash on my hand that is barely noticeable after treating the healing scar with Copper-Peptides.

I had a biospy scar on my neck (in that triangle where the neck meets the collarbone and the shoulder muscle attaches - I have a nice neck, so all my shirts showed this area off to it's best advantage, so it was REAL obvious). It was about as large as a dime.

Without using the SCRP's on it, it had stabilized in about 3 months. It was red (I have scars that are still red after years), the walls on the side were verticle, it was much lower than the rest of the skin, and it was very noticeable.

I started using Exfol Serum on it, then immediately plopping Super CP Serum on it (one full drop from the bottle originally filled the scar indentation - it was pretty large).

Well the edges are sloped now, the bottom of the scar is rising, and it's pink, not red. The skin in the middle of the scar is even with the non-scarred surrounding skin. A nice bonus - since I'm not terribly careful about where I plop the stuff, there's a surrounding area of skin that is FANTASTIC, and the freckles that were there have faded, some have even disappeared (I did not like my freckles)!!!!
I use it twice a day when I remember, which isn't as often as I should. When I put it on, I'll also pinch the skin between my thumb and pointer finger and gently rub - one of my friends who's a massage therapist and works with people who've had car accidents says that helps break up scar tissue a little, but very gently.
I'm super thrilled, and just wish I could upgrade to SuperCop 2X...
I wish I'd taken before pictures now, but I didn't terribly want a reminder of the scary skin cancer biopsy stuff. If the scar is completely gone by the time I'm done, I will actually be glad to have no reminders of that horrible time. Yay!

I just wanted to thank you, Dr. Pickart, for all your hard work and lifelong dedication of applying chemistry to help people. I have been using Skin Bio products for 2.5 months and have seen a huge improvement in my acne scars. I have suffered from acne as a teen and finally cleared up at around age 23. But had scars on cheeks, jawline, and side of temples. Makeup always drew attention towards my scars and I have always been ashamed of them. I tried the dermatologist thing, was signed up to get fraxel lasering (which I was really apprehensive about doing because it may cause more damage than good) and cost $900 a treatment and I was going to need 4-5 treatments.

Then I found your company and starting using the Acne Scar Reduction Kit. It seemed a bit slow at first, but I used the products everyday and never had any irritation. After testing the starter kit, I used the Exfol Cream and TriReduction with Retinol and spot treated with Super Cop 2X. After a month, I started using 40% lactic acid and 15% fruit acid gel in place of the Exfol Cream, still using the TriReduction with Retinol and Super Cop 2X. While I didn't expect overnight success or complete irradication of the scar tissue, I did get what I expected after 3 months:

My overall skin tone is bright, many scars have gotten smaller, less red, and the indented scar areas I had have become more even level with the rest of the skin, and I have a more even skin tone. My acne scars are truly less noticeable and I am comfortable with my skin now and feel really good about myself every time I examine my skin in the mirror.

I just wanted to take the time to thank you for all your help and for offering these products at a reasonable price. I've been using a lot of your products (CP Serum, Super CP Serum, Exfol Serum, CP Night Eyes, Tri-Reduction and Super Cop) for two years ...I started spot treating pitted scars with Super Cop and a stronger version of salicylic acid and the results are fantastic!...I'd like to tell you all about what I did (I'm thinking the result borders on the unbelievable)...I was getting a bit impatient and I remember reading from one of your articles that to see faster results, one should become a bit more aggressive with the acids and try for the stronger copper peptides [Skin Remodeling Copper-Peptides]. Since I was a bit perturbed with the possible onset of pimples as a reaction to the Super Cop, I tried this Clear Pores Medicated Gel (from skinrxclinic.com) in the AM (whole leaf aloe, colloidal silver, 15% glycolic acid, 2% salicylic acid..., and alternated with a 10% hydroquinone 10% tret compound (from greatskin.com). At night, I applied a very thin film (maybe 2-3 drops) of very diluted super CP Serum on my entire face and neck, then with a fine brush dotted (a bit liberally) Super Cop on the pitted scars (and sometimes in the afternoon for a twice a day application). Did this for a week. The peeling agents truly peeled and scabs quickly formed on the spots I had concentrated on.

After 3 or 4 days (so on the 10th or 11th day of the program), the crusted stuff fell off and I swear, the two deepest and longest scars that I have been trying to get rid off since forever became non-existent! At most, if I really stare hard, long and up close, I can see a small pinprick-like pore. I really wish I had documented this with pictures so I can submit them to you ...I can't get beyond being amazed with this result at so short a period.

I purchased the Acne Scar Reduction Kit and cannot believe the incredible results. I have NEVER felt compelled to contact any company with a compliment or testimonial. I have suffered from acne most of my life. I have acne scars that have been on my face for many years. I do not, and have never, avoided the sun, so I suppose I have sun damage along with 36 year-old problematic skin (such as fine lines, oily skin, acne, etc.).

I have used $300 magic potions and $3 drug store remedies and everything in between. I have used Proactiv Acne System and still had acne and it created more discoloration on my face. I have been on Tetracycline and Accutane and still had acne, along with dry skin which I never in my life have had. I have used everything on all the shopping channels, some were expensive and promised the unbelievable (Serious Skin Care, Isomers, Murad, etc.). Some of them even condemned colored copper, although when I used their colorless copper, NOTHING happened - empty promises.

Dermatologists often recommend deep chemical peels for scars, but if the dermatologist or esthetician is not highly skilled, this is often unsatisfactory and can produce further scarring. We get many telephone calls from people who have had deep chemical peels for scars and ended up with worse scarring than their initial scars or laser treatments that left permanent skin damage.

If This Does Not Work Well Enough For You

Stronger beta hydroxy acids will speed the procedure but also increase the chances of irritation or chemical burns. Skin Biology's LacSal Cream and LacSal Serum is a 10% hydroxy acid (8.5% lactic - 1.5% salicylic) formulated at pH 3.2. Some customers and clinics use stronger salicylic acids or 30% to 70% hydroxy acids to loosen the scar tissue then apply the copper peptide product.

Subcision or Needling to Break Down Scars Followed by Copper Peptides

In this procedure, a needle (such as tattoo needle) disrupts the scar collagen and stimulates replacement of newly formed collagen. Best results are achieved with several sessions. This is often used on pitted acne scars or at the margins of face lifts. Some scars may be too deep and too hard for hydroxy acids to effective loosen. 

Another idea is that certain scars form a barrier wall or "zone-of-stasis" that blocks the body's scar removal systems. Scar-clearing macrophages cannot penetrate the barrier and blood vessels will not grow through the barrier. The subcision breaks down this barrier and allows the body to begin dissolving the scar tissue. 

Some estheticians tell us that they use CP Serum or TriReduction after the needling and see a much better and faster clearing of the scars. However, do not apply the copper peptides until the wound has scabbed over and is no longer open or oozing liquid.

If you have very sensitive skin, always start with our mildest copper peptide: Super GHK-Copper Cream. If you are prone to acne, use Super CP Serum with Exfol Serum.

It takes about a month to start noticing an improvement. But really good results take several months.

If you have combination-to-oily skin type use the serum/liquid oil-free versions of our products. If you have normal-to-dry skin type use the creams. For spot treatments only: use the cream versions, once or twice a day regularly.

Typical results take approximately 4-6 weeks of consistent use. The key is to keep working on the skin blemish.
